Coconut Oil and Water Kefir

The Delivery: Kelapo Coconut Oil and Caveman Foods Probiotic Water Kefir
Staff Pick: Saffron-flavored kefir

The DL: This is an exciting week here at the VNHQ—as we’re finishing up the design of the January+February issue, we’re also preparing Thanksgiving-themed articles for VegNews.com. Get ready for more editions of Turkey Tuesdays, recipes to help perfect your Thanksgiving menu, and awesome giveaway prizes. While things are hectic right now, some of our staff is fortunate enough to be heading down to Mexico to bliss out on the beach, relax with some yoga, and forget about the holiday craze at home. There are still tickets available, so snag your spot while you can!

Oil and Books

The Date: Tuesday, January 4
The Delivery: A Sea in Flames by Carl Safina galley, Planet Home by Jeffrey Hollender, and Kelapo's coconut oils
Staff Pick: Planet Home

The DL: While it's tough for us to choose a non-food thing as the staff pick, both of these books look so interesting that we had a harder time deciding between the two of them than forgoing our usual predilection for edibles. We very much liked one line on the cover of Planet Home, which reads "Live with Less and Have More"—a perfect idea to kick off a new year. Here's hoping your enjoying reading another book at the moment, specifically The Vegan Girl's Guide to Life with the VN Book Club!

Nice and Cozy

Date: Friday, September 25
The Delivery: A non-vegan cookbook, a jar of Navitas Naturals coconut oil, and some cartons of soup
Staff Pick: The Roasted Pepper Tomato soup from Dr. McDougall's

The DL: It's a bit chilly here at the VNHQ, so the thought of hot tomato soup sounds like a good idea to us. We wouldn't mind some warmed bread on the side either. Happy Weekend!
