Vegan Cookies, Pasta Sauce, a Book, and an Apron

The Delivery: Mama Jess' organic pasta sauces, chocolate chip, oatmeal, peanut butter, and double-chocolate cookies from Isabella's Cookie Company, a Daiya apron, and The Autism Puzzle by Brita Belli
Staff Pick: The cookies!

The DL: After days of savory snacking, we were pining for something to sate our collective sweet tooth. Enter Isabella's Cooking Company, which sent us products from its vegan cookie line—an act that caused a chorus of cheers to erupt throughout VNHQ. Some VN staffers are eagerly anticipating the arrival of The Hunger Games (starring vegan actor Woody Harrelson!), which hits theaters tonight at midnight, but there are several other intriguing movies out this spring. Check out our film-festival faves here!

An Apron and Spices

The Date: Monday, July 25
The Delivery: Spices from The Delicious Dietitian and a cheeky apron from Pom Wonderful
Staff Pick: The Creole seasoning

The DL: Today was a day of spicy deliveries, both literally and figuratively. We hope the phrase "big things come in small packages" rings true with this Creole seasoning, giving a normal meal of rice and beans a Cajun kick. While some of us are simple/lazy/untalented chefs, VN Editorial Assistant Hilary's "rice and beans" is "homemade gnocchi and heirloom tomato salad." Aprons with Sass

The Date: Monday, July 19
The Delivery: Wine Guide, aprons, and notepads
Staff Pick: Apron from She's SO Creative

The DL: She's SO Creative produces goods with cutesy sayings that are, well, creative. We chose this apron with the saucy hens that seem to be enjoying themselves, and the caption "French chicks." Added bonus: The packaging is made of recycled products.
