The DL: Earth Balance has done a lot for vegan baking in the recent past, and it's great to see that the company is diversifying its product. Want to know the VN staff's favorite way to prepare the spread? Whip it together with some maple syrup to make a delicious maple-butter, which we happily slathered on some scones today in celebration of our two Maggie Awards!

The DL: Some VN staffers are facing a wave of nostalgia with this recycled-candy-wrapper clutch—being reminded of the homemade necklaces made out of gum wrappers back in elementary school. Who knew that such a fun-and-easy hobby could make such a cool product?

The DL: Fillo—or phyllo—is a favorite staple of the VNHQ, though it may not always be the easiest to work with in the kitchen. Good thing these cute little shells are already to use. You just have to pop them out of the freezer, and voilĂ !

The DL: Let's face it, you can't beat the taste of freshly prepared homemade vegan French-toast. But who has the time to make such a meal except on the weekends? Van's has come to the rescue, and we can't wait to compare them with the real deal!
