Staff Pick: The World Goes Raw Cookbook

The DL: Flipping through Lisa Mann's book, which features raw versions of dishes from around the globe, definitely has us yearning for an international vacation. Still, there are plenty of exciting things going on stateside to satisfy us in the meantime. HipCityVeg, a new vegan fast-food joint, opens in Philly today (did somebody say buffalo-portabello sandwiches?), while up-and-coming vegan city (and VNHQ neighbor) Oakland has launched its first-ever Veg Week, offering food demos and film screenings galore. Let the vegan celebrations commence!

The Delivery: Non-vegan dog food, a plethora of HimalaSalt, Animalkind by Jean Kazez, chocolate bars, and shower gel from Vermont Soap
Staff Pick: The golden white chocolate bar from Organic Nectars

The DL: Correct us if we're wrong, but vegan white chocolate is pretty hard to come by, which is why we're excited to see this chocolate bar. If it's anything like their gelato, then we're in for a special treat!

Sudsy Soaps

The Delivery: Goji-agave granola from GrandyOats, and a variety of soaps
Staff Pick: The Vermont Soap's Lemongrass Zen Foaming Hand Soap

The DL: This hand soap came right in time, because the VNHQ is running dreadfully low on our supply. We look forward to finding zen while sudsing up with this soap.

Mooving Onto the Weekend

The Delivery: Several frozen entrées (some non-vegan), chocolate bars from Newman's Own, shea nut butter from Vermont Soap, and two NuHemp products
Staff Pick: The Poblano Chick Patties from Moo Moo's Vegetarian Cuisine look mighty delicious
