The DL: Veggie lasagna with Daiya cheese that's ready in five minutes? We've died and gone to heaven. We always appreciate Amy's for making it easy-as-frozen-vegan-Shepherd's-Pie to eat cruelty-free (and tastily, at that), and can't wait to taste test these new frozen foods. Vegan Pizza and Cheese

The DL: You might have noticed a fair amount of frozen pizzas gracing the pages of this blog. What's the deal, you might ask? Well, you'll just have to wait for our September+October issue to find out! While the entire office is still stuffed from last night's Southern Comfort dinner at San Francisco's Millennium Restaurant (check out Press Pass later this afternoon to hear about chili-cheese fries, beer-steamed brats with a topping bar, ice cream sandwiches, and much more), we still can't wait to taste these lovely cheese pizzas.

The DL: We were served this scrumptious vegan macaroni and cheese today for lunch, and boy did it make our day. Of course, we love our homemade mac 'n' cheese, but this version is quick, delicious, and gluten-free, to boot!

Feeling Souperb

The DL: It's getting colder, so soup will definitely be on the menu at the VNHQ. We're thinking this "hearty" blend may make a good addition to the mix.

Never Too Young to Learn

The Delivery: A children's book, some Perfect Prescription Tooth Soap, a soup-kit from Amy's Kitchen, and reusable feminine-hygiene products from Strange & Violent Creations
Staff Pick: Ruby Roth's book, That's Why We Don't Eat Animals, is one of the first books for kids about the plight of animals on factory farms

The DL: We like to say that you can never be too young to join the fight against cruelty, and Roth's book looks like a great tool to help teach the younger generation about what's happening on factory farms.
