Honest Tea Drinks

The Date: Wednesday, May 11
The Delivery: Lemonade, Passion Fruit Green Tea, and CocoaNova drinks from Honest Tea
Staff Pick: CocoaNova in Mocha Cacao

The DL: Disclaimer: This picture represents less than 10 percent of the healthy-drink haul we received from Honest Tea today. While our stocks of these new beverages won't be depleted any time soon, we think the supply of the Mocha Cacao might run out first. A guilt-free, healthy vegan chocolate drink? We thought that was the Loch Ness Monster of the drink world. If you'd rather get your chocolate fix in solid form, head on over to the VegNews Store, where vegan candy bars, peanut butter cups, and marzipan bars await.

Tea, Soda, Vegan Yogurt, and a Book

The Date: Thursday, March 17
The Delivery: Going Raw by Judita Wignall, Amande cultured almond milk in assorted flavors from Cascade Fresh, Zevia natural sodas, and Honest Teas
Staff Pick: The strawberry cultured almond milk

The DL: Consider our brows raised. Cultured almond milk? As in yogurt? Who'da thunk it? We are looking forward to trying this new fruity specimen and its cohorts, and hope to add it to our vegan yogurt arsenal. Funny we should mention arsenals: With this week's VegNews Vegan Bucket List Giveaway consisting of a $100 shopping spree at MooShoes, you can (faux) beef up your vegan shoe arsenal in no time flat. And no, it is not lost on us that flats are a type of shoe. We're just clever like that.

Pudding and a Book

The Date: Thursday, October 21
The Delivery: Puddings and a book
Staff Pick: Vegan puddings from Comfy House Foods

The DL: Yesterday we were dying for an afternoon snack, but we at least had Honest Tea to tide us over. Today, however, we are the happy recipients of snack-tastic new vegan puddings from Comfy House Foods. With varieties such as Quinoa & Blueberry and Banana & Coconut, we don't see why these treats can't be served for breakfast, snack-time, or afternoon dessert-time (which, by the way, is one of the most important meals of the day). Comfy House recommend eating these puddings warmed, which sounds like the perfect antidote to a brisk San Francisco fall day, much like today's lunch on Café VegNews.

Honest Tea

The Date: Wednesday, October 20
The Delivery: Tea galore!
Staff Pick: New selections from our pals at Honest Tea

The DL: Full disclosure: this all came in on Friday, and we (and by we, I mean the official kombucha connoisseurs of the VNHQ, Gabrielle Pope and Lyndsay Orwig) have been hyped on Honest Tea's new kombucha varieties ever since. Honest Tea's local rep Zac Taylor is our new hero, gifting us with not only two full cases of kombucha, but also other Honest Tea delights such as Limeade and Cranberry Lemonade for those other crazy VegNews staffers who don't care for the 'bucha. One such staffer is Managing Editor Elizabeth Castoria, who redeems herself with a enviable delicious Café VegNews lunch featuring both salad and an Amy's Kitchen pot pie.

From Tea to Textiles

The Date: Monday, August 9
The Delivery: Skin Science lotion, tea, vitamins, books, dietary supplements, and textiles
Staff Pick: Skin Science Daily Sun Defense Lotion

The DL: Did you know that the sun affects your skin even if it's cloudy? We here at the VNHQ are very aware of the harmful rays that are coming through, no matter what the temperature, and we like to keep our skin as young and vibrant as we can. So we're totally stoked to try out the new Skin Science Daily Sun Defense Lotion to fool all of you into thinking we're 10 years younger.

One Honest Beverage

The Date: Wednesday, April 7
The Delivery: Cookies from Kinnikinnick Foods, a book, and some tea
Staff Pick: The new Half Tea & Half Lemonade from Honest Tea

The DL: We were pleased to host Zac Taylor—a local Honest Tea rep—over at Café VegNews today, and he provided us with about a month's worth of tea. We thought it was a good deal, and their new Arnold-Palmer-type drink definitely hit the spot!
