The DL: "For every bar you buy, we give a meal to a hungry child." Now that is an energy bar that gives back! We're excited to try these snacks, which come in yummy flavors such as Chocolate Banana, Apple Pecan, and Cherry Almond. Perhaps they'll supply the much-needed energy to get us through Natural Products Expo West. Alternative Tootpaste

Staff Pick: The Toothy Tabs!

The DL: We here at the VNHQ love getting deliveries of chocolate, cookbooks, and chips, but perhaps even more than those three Cs, we love a new vegan product unlike anything we've ever C-een (get it?). Enter: Toothy Tabs. The folks at Lush are aiming to reduce the ecological impact of toothpaste tubes and dispensers with these tabs. Pop in your mouth, brush as normal, and keep some of the one billion toothpaste tubes that end up in landfills annually out. We are so intrigued we might whip some out some of these Toothy Tabs right now. After all, we did just have lunch.

Party Time

Staff Pick: Party Vegan! Fabulous, Fun Food for Every Occasion by Robin Robertson

The DL: Who likes parties? We do! VegNews columnist Robin Robertson does! You do! Needless to say, we're all very happy that Robin Robertson's latest cookbook is party-themed, including fête favorites such as Seitan Enchiladas, Spinach-Potato Quesadillas, and Pecan-Pumpkin Pie. Love Robin as much as we do? Check out her recipes for DIY Sushi and Eggplant Kabayaki in our brand-new November+December 2o10 Veggie Awards issue. And then throw a party. We'll just be here, you know, waiting for our invitations.

Loving the LUSH

The DL: This fun and hip line just became a little cuter with these new Knot-Wraps, which are made with recycled LUSH plastic bottles. Pretty nifty—not to mention, thrifty—if you ask us!

Puppy Love

The DL: Don't get us wrong, all of the new products today seem great, but these puppies, named Khane and Cal, have all of our attention. Could you resist this adorableness? Didn't think so. Thinking of getting your own pup this holiday? Be sure to adopt.

Mega-Delivery Day

The DL: The products just poured in today, leaving us with a great variety to peruse. These comfortable-looking shoes definitely caught our eye. If only we had bigger feet!

Scrubbing Away

Staff Pick: The new sugar scrub from LUSH

The DL: These groovy green scrubs are just in time for summer! It claims to leave your skin smooth and glowing, which is definitely a great plus, but its fresh smell and natural ingredients make us want to scrub away right now.
