Bean Chips, Snack Bars, and Noodles

The Date: Tuesday, March 22
The Delivery: Halo bars in assorted flavors from ProBar, bean and rice chips in assorted flavors from Beanfields, and noodles from NoOodle
Staff Pick: The pico de gallo chips!

The DL: Thank goodness some food came in the mail today; with the entire office buzzing about this week's Vegan Bucket List Giveaway, we were starting to get a little antsy for some office treats (and with the prize being a Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse Bomb cake from Vegan Treats, who can blame us?). We first tasted Beanfields' chips at Expo West, and we think they will make a perfect base for some gooey vegan nachos. Good thing we have a million pounds of Daiya to make our culinary dreams come true. It's nacho time, people.

Fruit + Intuition

The DL: Featuring brand-new packaging, PROBAR's fruit-inspired energy bar is now on sale. Our intuition tells us that these bars may just hit the spot.

This just in! Check out Café VegNews for a daily giveaway this week of Lauren Ulm's new Vegan Yum Yum cookbook.

Empowering Words

Date: Tuesday, April 7
The Delivery: Two books, a yoga DVD, a PROBAR variety pack, some soup and tea from Pacific Foods, and tropical tea from Zhena's Gypsy Tea
Staff Pick: Peter Singer's new book, The Life You Can Save

The DL: Anyone in the animal-rights movement knows the name Peter Singer, the author of the preeminent book on AR philosophy, Animal Liberation. His latest literary offering covers a different, but still very important issue—that of world poverty. We're very much looking forward to seeing what empowering words he has to say on the subject.
