Skin Care, Probiotic Coconut Water, and Chili Tortilla Chips

The DL: It’s been a great day for our stomachs here at VNHQ. First, editorial assistant Hilary Pollack busted out some delicious Gardein sliders and MozzaRisella vegan cheese for us to sample. Then, as if that wasn't awesome enough, we were fortunate enough to munch on pasta topped with homemade spaghetti sauce and vegan meatballs, courtesy of managing editor Elizabeth Castoria’s dad! We’re currently in a post-lunch food coma, but as soon as we have some room in our tummies, we’ll definitely open this bag of Simply So Sweet Chili tortilla chips from Way Better Snacks. Speaking of ‘so sweet,’ Valentine’s Day is a couple of weeks away, which means you still have plenty of time to plan the perfect evening, whether you’re lucky in love or flying solo. Delicious Vegan Food

The DL: Anytime one of the royal purple Allison’s Gourmet boxes arrives at the office, we can’t wait to dig in and see what Allison has come up with this time (needless to say, we are never disappointed). While she runs an artisan bakery, she’s not afraid to go savory now and again—check out her recipe for vegan lasagna in the Novermber+December issue of VegNews, which has already received tons of praise from readers. In case your sweet tooth still isn’t fixed after tasting Allison’s delicious confections, try This Week’s Must-Have: a Marshmallow Truffle Bar from Desiderio Chocolates. Just try to save some for the inevitable drooling onlookers (i.e. us).

Vegan Books and Veggie Burgers

The Delivery: The Chicken Chronicles by Alice Walker, Quick and Easy Vegan Bake Sale by Carla Kelly, and a box filled with the new Ultimate Beefless Burger from Gardein

The DL: We first tried this new creation from Gardein at this year's Expo West, and we think it's safe to say being reunited really does feel so good. Flavorful, healthy, and downright massive, these patties would be a great addition to any springtime barbecue. In case all that time in the sunshine has you parched (not to mention a little woozy), reach for some coconut water: it is packed with electrolytes to keep your bod hydrated and happy.
