The DL: It’s been a great day for our stomachs here at VNHQ. First, editorial assistant Hilary Pollack busted out some delicious Gardein sliders and MozzaRisella vegan cheese for us to sample. Then, as if that wasn't awesome enough, we were fortunate enough to munch on pasta topped with homemade spaghetti sauce and vegan meatballs, courtesy of managing editor Elizabeth Castoria’s dad! We’re currently in a post-lunch food coma, but as soon as we have some room in our tummies, we’ll definitely open this bag of Simply So Sweet Chili tortilla chips from Way Better Snacks. Speaking of ‘so sweet,’ Valentine’s Day is a couple of weeks away, which means you still have plenty of time to plan the perfect evening, whether you’re lucky in love or flying solo. The DL: Being vegan does a body good. As do probiotics, electrolytes, and potassium. Fortunately, this new coconut water offers all three in one health-promoting beverage. Talk about multi-tasking! Now that we're thinking about it, puppies, sunshine, and learning how to save money on lunches also do a body good, but if today finds you in a snowstorm without puppies, at least you can read Savvy Vegan!

Spices, Drinks, and Chocolates

The DL: Our May+June issue is currently at the presses, and while we are totally stoked about the issue, there was a lot of jealousy surrounding our wedding couples. Fabulous parties, beautiful scenery, and above all, mind-blowingly delicious menus? That's more than enough to turn the VN staff green with envy. On top of that, we send our wedding couples vegan chocolates and candles with their issues. No fair, we declare! But, luckily for us (and thanks to the wonderful folks at Boardwalk Chocolates), we get to try the same chocolates our wedding couples will be receiving in a few short weeks. Now if someone (you!?) could just send us some vegan wedding cake, we'd be all set.
