Mineral Madness

Date: Wednesday May 27
The Delivery: Entertaining in the Raw by Matthew Kenney, a variety of Yogachips, some fresh-baked Pure NRG bars, Lafe's natural deodorant stick, and some mineral eye make-up
Staff Pick: Khuraira's mineral eye color

The DL: Mineral make-up seems to be all the rage these days, but we're not complaining. The more natural the product is, the better, in our opinion, which is why we like these super-cute eye shadows! It's great to see that there's no longer any guilt in being glamorous.

We've fallen head over heals for these rice-milk chocolate coated nuggets of rich, gooey goodness. Although we've already sampled the launch version of these treats, we think we better taste-test these newly-outfitted versions to confirm product consistency. Can't wait to try these yourself? Sensational Saké

Date: Wednesday, May 20
The Delivery: A sampling of Takara Saké's delicious-looking wares, including Nigori Crème de Saké and Hana flavored saké infused with lychee, Fuji apple, plum, and raspberry.
Staff Pick: Lychee Hana flavored saké

The DL: Don't worry about the "crème" in the Nigori saké. This misnomer refers to this Japanese beverage's cloudy appearance, not to any dairy products contained within. So, feel free to pour a glassfull and clink glasses with your dining companion next time you're sharing some veg sushi. We're looking forward to a few more saké deliveries this week in anticipation of our upcoming saké taste test. Stay tuned!

Staff Pick: OOBA's hibiscus beverages

The DL: We've been receiving a lot of thirst-quenchers lately, and the timing couldn't be more perfect, because it's supposed to get really hot this weekend in the SF Bay Area and it's Bay to Breakers. The VN staffers running the race will put this drink to the test as the mercury rises. Cheers!
