The DL: Though it was tough to choose between vegan soy-free yogurts and a scintillating read, our love for literature solidified this staff pick. Other Nations is a compilation of stories and excerpts by authors such as Hemingway, Orwell, and Walker, organized by two academics in sections that show human beings' changing relationship with animals—as companions, food, entertainment, and science. The compilation sounds very thought-provoking, which is just what the world needs this World Go Vegan week.
